SVL Faced Panel on White Birch Multiply

The Eco-Core^® SVL (Solid Veneer Lumber) Faced Panel is made of thin sheets of SVL laminated onto Eco-Core^® White Birch Multiply. Solid Veneer Lumber is a contemporary look in laminated timber glued from upright longitudinal veneer layers of wood, approximately 3.0mm thick per lamination. They are manufactured using phenolic and moisture resistant PVA glues. For more information on Eco-Core^® SVL, please refer to Eco-Core^® SVL page.

The Eco-Core® SVL Faced Panel has been rated E0 for formaldehyde emission.

The Eco-Core^® SVL Faced Panel is available in European Beech laminated on Eco-Core^® White Birch Multiply. It is supplied good two sides or good one side with a downgrade back.

Panel sizes are 2500mm x 1250mm x 25, 28, 34mm good one side/downgrade back or 2500mm x 1250mm x 14, 20, 26, 32, 38mm good two sides laminated on White Birch Multiply long grain.

The SVL Faced Panel is supplied raw, sanded to grit 60. All faces, edges and cut-outs will require finishing with a suitable lacquer/coating. In the raw product small holes and cracks can occur on the faces caused by open knots, cracks or similar. These holes and cracks are not classified as defects and should be puttied with timber putty prior to fine sanding. These panels are custom made and supplied in full sheets, please give allowance for cutting or fine sanding to the exact measurement.

These panels are made to order so a longer lead time will apply.

The appearance of an Eco-Core^® SVL Faced Panel sample is indicative only. Colour, grain and laminations can vary and are not classified as defects. A small timber sample does not completely represent the appearance of a larger surface of the same product.

All Eco-Core^® SVL products are supplied raw sanded to grit 60.

SVL is manufactured using phenolic and moisture resistant PVA glues, a full waterproof version is available on request.

This construction makes the thinly sliced SVL stable as there is less chance of the material bowing or moving. The advantage of using this product in some applications is that it can be supplied in over-all thinner but wider panels.
