FSC® Certified Eco-Core® Poplar Multiply

Italian Poplar Plywood is one of the most famous wood products known.  Thanks to its flexibility, light weight, and its natural light colour, poplar plywood is an irreplaceable product in many uses. More economic materials have shown that in the long run they are unable to guarantee the properties of durability and strength of poplar plywood.

Environment

The FSC® Certified Eco-Core Poplar Multiply is manufactured using Poplar Logs from the Northern part of Italy and Southern part of France.

The FSC® Certified Eco-Core Poplar Multiply is rated E1 for formaldehyde emission.

Benefits

The boards are very light in weight - 400 kg/m3 depending on thickness - or approximately half the weight of MDF, yet retain strength and stability.

Applications

Used as a substrate, the light weight factor makes the Poplar Multiply suitable for high quality joinery/furniture, ceiling bulkheads, luxury yacht interiors, and the construction of caravans.

It is used as a substrate material suitable for re-veneering or laminating. It is not recommended to apply a clear lacquer or paint finish directly on the faces.
